Structural Design Engineer – Residential

An established Engineering Consultancy in the Western Suburbs has a new full-time, permanent position available for a Structural Design Engineer.

Reporting to the Engineering Director, your focus will be to provide structural design planning for high end Residential projects, from concept through to completion.

Projects that you will be working on include:

• New housing (high end, up to $20M).
• Structural retaining/ shoring.
• Boutique unit developments.
• Renovations & additions.

The ideal person for this role would have:

• A Civil / Structural Engineering Degree, preferably from an Australian institution.
• Experience in Residential structural design and documentation…including steel, concrete, timber, masonry, retaining walls & pools.
• Ability to draft with AutoCAD 2D software.
• A working knowledge of building & construction Codes & Regulations.
• Project Management experience.
• Good business and report writing skills.
• Strong customer service orientation, and commitment to speedy delivery.
• A positive, can-do attitude.

This position will suit a technically strong and commercially astute Engineer, ready to learn and grow with a successful specialist consultancy. An attractive commencing salary package is negotiable in the range $90k – 120k pa, according to skills and experience.
